If your vehicle is over a year old, the paint may show signs of wear such as swirls, scratches, and fading, detracting from its overall appearance.

At Shell Car Care, our treatment process is designed to restore your car's paint to a smooth, flawless, and uniform finish. Through our detailed 4-step procedure, we address imperfections and enhance the visual appeal of your vehicle.

Step:1

Thorough Wash

Over time, contaminants like grease, carbon pollutants, and dirt can dull your car’s surface, diminishing its shine and gloss.
At Shell Automotive, we use advanced cleaning methods and high-quality products to remove these layers of grime. Our degreasing washes, foam applications, and specialized cleaners ensure your vehicle's surface is thoroughly cleansed, creating the ideal base for the detailing process.

Step:2

Clay Bar Treatment

This treatment is designed to remove stubborn contaminants embedded in your vehicle's paint. Using a specially formulated clay bar, we gently rub the surface to lift and extract impurities like dirt, tar, tree sap, industrial fallout, and even some types of oxidation.

Step:3

Exterior Detailing

Exterior detailing is a thorough cleaning and restoration process that goes beyond a basic car wash. It includes cleaning chrome parts, logos, emblems, edges, trims, rubber beadings, the engine bay, alloy wheels, door jambs, wheel wells, and tyres, ensuring your vehicle looks its best from every angle.

Step:4

Paint Correction

Compounding and Polishing work together to restore your vehicle’s paintwork, creating a smooth, glossy surface free from imperfections. This detailed process requires skill, precision, and the use of high-quality products and tools to achieve the best results. By addressing paint defects, paint correction enhances the vehicle’s appearance and value. While typically a two-step process, sanding may be performed on certain areas if needed.

Step:5

Synthetic Paint Sealant Application

After the paint correction process, we apply a PTFE-based Meguiar's synthetic paint sealant, which contains polytetrafluoroethylene—an incredibly durable and resilient material known for its non-stick properties. This sealant forms a strong bond with the paint, creating a protective barrier that repels water, dirt, and other contaminants, while enhancing the paint’s shine and depth.
